Historical Town Malacca

Malacca is known as the historical town among the locals in Malaysia and it's definitely a MUST to visit if you're ever here in Malaysia. I was there for four years during my uni years and this is my third time back there after n years. New buildings are here and there and they even have two Jaya Jusco which is like 20-30 mins apart from each other. Hypermarkets are everywhere too! Not forgetting, there are a lot of traffic lights too! You do not wish to see Annie driving and cursing all the way in the jam. =P

This way to Eye On Malaysia peeps!

Did you know they actually dismantle and transport the huge ferris wheel from KL to Malacca? That I do not know. LOL. It's a 50 million project and now it just stand there operating only on certain days. What a pity. =(

We booked a room at Tower Hotel in Plaza Mahkota. For a budget hotel, one night stay is around 88 bucks. It's clean and comfy really. The only defects we found out are the walls are kinda thin (if you wish to do kinky stuff, I suggest you try a better hotel =P) and you need to ask if your room has a water heater first before you check in. The location is just perfect for us to explore the town itself. It's very near to the red clock tower, Stadthuys, Christ Church, Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade and of course, the famous Jonker Street.

Stadthuys that reflects the Dutch Architecture

Exploring around Stadhuys.

Christ Church. Never been inside. Too bad.

The remains of Fort A Famosa

Going back there really makes me reminisce the good old times. Once, there were these 5 young girls who barely know each other and they decided to explore the town and had a little bonding. LOL. The laughter!  The daily gossip! The heart-to-heart talk. How I miss them! How time flies. Oh well, let's not swift from the topic, shall we? =P

The weather was just too hot that we decided to explore the malls instead. Girls! Hence, no pictures taken on St. Paul Church though. Around 5 pm, we walked to Jonker Street. Nah. Jonker Street will be featured in my next post so stay tune. Hehe.

Some museum. The sun's setting.

Why is every building in red?

Here's a picture I really like.

Malacca River. Why I never notice it's so nice?

Another view from the bridge before we enter Jonker.

After exploring Jonker, we stopped by for a little snap. Ahh I love the little 'stars' in the pic. =P

Pic is yellowish. Screw it.

Stadhuys at night. I got no tripod so this is just merely point and shoot.

Some wheel that serves no purpose. o_O

Another favourite pic of mine. ;))
