Portrait vs Landscape
Don't know why. I always prefer to snap my pictures in portrait mode instead of landscape mode. What's your preference? ;)
Don't you just love the interior design of Sydney's Queen Victoria Building? Many couples purposely come here to shoot their wedding pics. Simply lovely! :)

The Art of Panning
The day was so sunny and hot in Phnom Penh. Below are some panning tryouts I did by the roadside (under some shady areas) while waiting for my friends a.k.a. the pro photographers like PhotogMao, Kopi Ais and Dens Lee. So, what's your say for a first timer on this?
Bravo to this chick traveling by bicycle in PP. Why? I think it's quite dangerous to drive here, esp in Siem Riep. =P |
Two foreigners looking right at my direction. LOL. I love this the most! |

Sihanoukville
Who says there's no beach at Cambodia? Here's the pic of the day at Sihanoukville Beach which is located at the southern side of Cambodia; roughly 2 hours ride from Phnom Penh.

Lijiang, China
I've never liked China, but here's a place that I'd like to intro to you - Yunnan. We went to 3 places: Kunming, Dali and Lijiang back in 2006 and the sceneries were superb!!! Too bad I was just equipped with a crappy but loyal digicam back then. LOL.

A Photo A Day
Someone commented that my photo blog is filled with cobwebs already. And my food photos are filled with maggots as well! Ewww! So, I think I better be hardworking and start this little project of mine:
People have iPad and I have my very own aPad. LOL. Okay. Funny not found. Blek. Here's the very first photo to kick off this project. ^^

Bakon - The very top level of Angkor Wat |
Photo's taken by PhotogMao with my camera on top of Angkor Wat. I was wearing shorts at that time, so I wasn't allowed to explore the place.
Till then, have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

First Meal
It was a 2 hours flight from KL and we reached Siem Riep about 8 am. We stayed at Golden Mango Inn, a highly recommended hotel (rated #1) we could find in HostelWorld. A triple room costed around $27 and since there're 4 gals, we had to add another $5. With that additional $5, all you get is an extra pillow and not an extra bed. How weird is that? Apart from that (and limited lighting in the room), I am quite satisfied with the hotel's cleanliness (bathrooms are super clean) and services. They provided us:
- free pickup from the airport,
- free breakfast,
- free fruits in each room,
- hot shower
- unlimited drinking water in the room and in the van & tuk tuk we hired,
- charge $4 for each tuk tuk after 10 pm. (which is considerably cheap),
- great advices on where to go/what to eat,
- friendly hotel owners who helped us buy our bus tickets to Phnom Penh and called the van to pick us up directly,
- and of course, free wi-fi for some of us who cannot stand a day without facebook/online.

Cambodia
I just got back from an awesome and interesting trip to Cambodia. We visited 3 places - Siem Riep, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh. It's an eye opener really! Now I got too many photos to go through and my laptop is not obedient enough (virtual memory too low wtf) for me to even view the pictures! There will be more to come I promise!

Historical Town Malacca
Malacca is known as the historical town among the locals in Malaysia and it's definitely a MUST to visit if you're ever here in Malaysia. I was there for four years during my uni years and this is my third time back there after n years. New buildings are here and there and they even have two Jaya Jusco which is like 20-30 mins apart from each other. Hypermarkets are everywhere too! Not forgetting, there are a lot of traffic lights too! You do not wish to see Annie driving and cursing all the way in the jam. =P
This way to Eye On Malaysia peeps! |
Did you know they actually dismantle and transport the huge ferris wheel from KL to Malacca? That I do not know. LOL. It's a 50 million project and now it just stand there operating only on certain days. What a pity. =(

Wat Doi Suthep
A sacred temple to most of the Thais, Wat Doi Suthep is located 15 km from the city of Chiang Mai. It's on top of Doi Suthep temple and the journey up there was magnificent. It felt like as if we were driving up Genting Highlands.
It is said that this place is a MUST to visit if you're in Chiang Mai. |
